Or would we seek to live every day as blissfully as possible, constantly striving towards what made us happiest? “

Waif&Co. recently posted a drawing from Kay Neilsen. I was at once enthralled by the image and felt a slight wave of deja vu. Upon further research I learned Neilsen did the illustration for Grimm’s fairytales. I’d had a big book of these stories as a kid, in highschool I cut up the illustrations to make into valentines day and birthday cards.

Nubby Twiglet wrote a great post about finding your definite major purpose in life, from the article: ““Psychologists have correctly said that when one is truly ready for a thing, it puts in its appearance.” So, sometimes you may know what you’re meant to do, but it takes awhile to fall into place. The point is, if you feel strongly enough about your vision, you won’t give up. You’ll keep your focus, even through the times that you’re working menial jobs that you dislike, sitting through classes that bore you and living in a town that doesn’t suit you. These are hardships are only temporary stops on your way to your definite major purpose.”
