This look was inspired by Marilyn Monroe in Misfits. A tragic tale and beautiful film that would become Marilyn’s last (and best) work. Arthur Miller (Marilyn’s husband at the time) wrote the screenplay specifically for her.
I’m wearing Levi’s 501 Shrink to Fits
Hair and Make-up. Gotta love that MAC Lady Danger. Also I’ve been wearing alot of MAC Goldmine eyeshadow lately, which is very yellow and on my lids here.
From an old school notebook I found in my desk. This is a doodle I did during a class. I feel like the things I’d draw in class are different than I normally would. They are sort of guilty pleasures, during class you want to draw something that is just fun and makes you feel good/comfortable.
When doodling in general I tend to draw alot of eyes, faces and ladies bodies. Especially the boobs, butts and legs. Is this weird? Is my inner bi adolescent self channeling me?
I dno about this one…Bad teacher I think?
Rabbits! This one was also in the desk but on a sheet of paper by itself. This was something I probs drew while listening to an album or podcast. And yes that is a floating pink vibrator.
When I was 8 years old and wanted to be an artist this is how I imagined I would dress in art school. I’m not sure that I could/would/should duplicate this look, but it was fun to dress like a girl from the 90’s going for an ”authentic” 50’s beatnik look for a day.
I do loooove these glasses however. I thrifted them about 2 weeks ago. Everything looks so sunny behind their yellow lenses.
My new (old) ceramic egyptian pharoh bust! I got this for the bookcase in my dining room from A Touch of Vintage. Every time I go in that store I buy something, great finds and totally affordable.
Easter piñata we brought over to a friends house for rabbitday celebration! It contained a giant blow up pink flamingo, pony balloons, rabbit toys, my little pony tattoos, a pimp rubber ducky necklace among other fun goodies and lots o candy.
Decapitated easter piñata
I thrifted this sweater over the wknd. Had I seen this sweater at age 17 I would’ve died on the spot. Had I seen it at 22 I would’ve rolled my eyes and slid it down the rack for some mall punk to find. But for whatever reason I grabbed this piece up. I’m not sure if it is my newfound love of 1st and 2nd wave ska (thank you husband’s music collection!), my obsession with black and white or my becoming a square. Here I’m wearing it with a black bodysuit and husband’s black jeans. But later that night the outfit became sweater over black bodysuit over sheer leggings with slutty ass shoes.
